Well, the show was a show. I played for a very small audience, but some of them were very appreciative. I want to give great thanks to Laura, for being one of those wonderful people. Check back here often, as I will have at least one picture of her to post on the site, and will say many more wonderful things about her I'm sure. Russ, thanks for being there too. It's good to have people see me perform more than once. It's almost like I have fans. :) Brad, thanks for the place to crash, and for taking pictures, etc. Jared, thanks for helping me drive.
OK. I normally do the thanks last, but whatever. I do want to say that I succesfully performed "Respect Our Women" and "Out Of High School" live for the first time ever. Once I get the songs onto my hard drive, I'll put mp3s of them up on here so you can have the first ever live performance of both songs, just for getting to this page. Amazingly, I only messed up once between the two songs. Usually I don't quite have songs down the first time I play them, but I guess I'm getting better, or something. Check back here soon for images.
Here are free mp3s of some of the songs I performed. These are the live recordings from the show:
1. Respect Our Women (this is the first time I've actually done this song live in its entirety)
2. Out Of High School (this is the first time I've ever even tried to do this song live)
3. Inventor (this is the way the song should be heard, acapella, just as it was created freestyle without a beat)
4. There Was A Man (I think this will be the first mp3 available of this song)
5. You Gotta Want It (if you've downloaded the radio version, then you should listen to this to compare)
6. New Future (I love doing this song because I sing live, rap live, have a keyboard solo I do live, a guitar solo I do live, and the end of the song I do on the guitar live)
Thanks,
Mission Man
