Technical difficulties and craziness. That's my four word description for this show. I got there at 8:45 pm and realized I left my gig bag (backpack) at home, so I had to disappear for 2 hours. In that bag was my keyboard's power supply, four cables (bass, guitar, keyboard, CD player), instrumental CD, setlist, stickers, and t-shirt drawing entry forms. Nothing important; I mean, I could have done an hour of acapella songs without it I suppose and just thrown shirts into the crowd at random with my eyes closed. That's what a Mission Man unplugged concert would be. Actually, I'd cheat and use batteries and a cordless sytem. :)

Right, sorry, the show was awesome! In addition to forgetting some not-vital-in-the-way-that-performing-isn't-vital stuff, I had some inexplicable problem with noise from the CD player, so I'm going to use a different CD player and cable at my next Elbo's show, on March 8th.
Giving away t-shirts was definitely the highlight of the show. I'm really happy with the way they look, especially on people. I currently (February 21st) only have 3 large black shirts left. I'm hoping to get some more made in March.

I unveiled "Glimpse of a Dream" at this show. I completely screwed up the first verse, but did alright on the bass stuff. I loved performing that song, and if I get it right next time, I expect it to be the song I love performing the most, for a while. The song that "we" love to perform the most is "Chillin' at the Papa." I say "we" because I had some guest vocalists on stage to help sing the chorus, and to be "the girl" in 308 MacCracken Hall.
I'm currently listening to Infinite Number of Sounds so forgive the scatterbrained approach I've taken to the recap.
