Mission Man at Elbo's, Sunday, Feb. 5th, 2006

Unquestionably my smallest crowd ever at Elbo's. Michael, Vicki, Shelly, Mel, Carrie, and Corey made it special anyway. The small group of fans got there around 10 pm, and waited around until past midnight for me to start, even though they all had to be up early Monday morning.

My two greatest moments of the night:

I had the rose tucked into my bass strings before performing "Glimpse of a Dream." Michael gave me that rose the day of my "first show as a pro," on October 20th, 2005. It is a symbol of me chasing my dream, and has followed me around ever since. It's very appropriate that it was unveiled on stage before "Glimpse of a Dream," and I'm very happy that Michael was there to see it. She, and everyone listed above, always make my Elbo's performances special.

The other moment was "When I Find You," and it last for six minutes. Mel was a very big part of the song, and between having my marriage proposal accepted, and letting go of her when it turns out my dream woman is just a dream, the moment was very powerful. I really don't think I can go through that again, so that will be the only time I bring a woman on stage to be a part of the song.
