Mission Man Live at Casa Cantina Saturday March 6th, 2004

Wow, what a show that was.  I performed for a full hour, in between Olysha and Queen Pretty, with a quick three song set by Chris.  The sound at Casa is fantastic; hear for yourself by listening to Wanna Get Down live.  It's my new favorite song to perform live, because it allows me to accentuate my rhymes in ways I can't in other songs.  It's also funny to rap about "traveling to Dagobah so I can find a man named Yoda who's one of a kind."  I brought a camera, but my silly self forgot to ask for a volunteer to take pictures, so I don't have any from the show itself.

I want to thank the crowd.  Nicole, thank you for dancing right in front of the stage, and booing (and subsequently explaining that you were booing because you thought it was over).  I envy your Cavs tickets.  :)    I wish I had asked for more of your names, so I could thank you all individually.  To the people who bought my CDs, I really appreciate it.  To the people who came for Olysha and stayed for me, I appreciate you too.  This show ranks right up there with my first show in Jacksonville as my two best shows ever!  That couldn't happen without a wonderful crowd.

John, thank you for making the sound excellent, and for helping me record from the soundboard.  And, of course, thank you for the opportunity to perform at the Casa again.  I look forward to coming back.

And to all of you who came to this page, thank you for liking my music (and/or me) enough to check this page out.
