Brief discussion of living song concept and the musical creation process for "Ugly Child" and "31."

"Ugly Child" and "Wanna Get Down" live at the Greenwich, Saturday, July 28th, 2007. Same version as the one performed at Smokin' Ox, but this time I don't mess up any lyrics, and there's almost no background noise since I "filmed" it (using my digital camera) from the stage.

This is my 3rd live recording of the song, and the first with my drums. The guide drums are gone, and the song now has its own personality, its own energy. I now need to enhance the personality of the song, and with each live performance I hope to find ways to do so. The angle is funny again and my shorts look pixelated (my nice way of saying wrinkled), but there's less background noise this time than the first time at the Smokin' Ox.

This is my 4th live recording the song, at the Mad Frog, Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007. There's only a subtle change from the Smokin' Ox open mic version, but the sound recording quality is much better.

There will be more videos to come soon! I'll be making changes to "Ugly Child" and will put up new video whenever I've made changes.
