Jared asked me to take a picture of this liquor store for him, because it was at a rest area. It's a one stop DUI.

I left my rest area at 1:30 pm, and got to the Waterfront in Burlington, VT @ 2:36 pm. I had no cell phone signal, for the entire state of Vermont. It was a warm afternoon, as I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I had to make space in my van for Jared (since I was living in it, I wasn't used to passengers). We drove around aimlessly a lot, and went looking for shoes for Jared, though we didn't end up buying them because they were too expensive. I broke down and decided to overdraft. I pulled out $200 for the rest of the trip. I was surprised I could because afterwards my bank statement said I had $29 beforehand, and -$171 afterwards. I ended up with two overdraft charges because of a gas purchase that had not gone through yet. I was tired of trying how to figure out how to eat for $30 for $10 days, though.

A few interesting facts about Burlington. You're allowed to park on the wrong side of the road. Pedestrians have a higher priority than cars (in Oxford, the pedestrians act that way, but in VT, the cars know it too). You'll get a ticket if you don't let pedestrians go at a crosswalk, so driving can take a while sometimes. They have an 11 percent sales tax, but NO TAX ON CLOTHES. It makes sense in that cold of a climate, but it's still very unusual to me. Maybe you should go to VT next time you go back to school shopping.
Other than that, I went to Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory, had Applebee's for dinner, and Al's French Fries for lunch, played some pool, and walked around downtown. It's a fantastic walking mall. I slept at Jared's friend's place, and helped him with his math homework.
